The V10E42AUTO metal oxide varistor (MOV) is a voltage-dependent device used to protect a power system against voltage and over-current transients. The V10E42AUTO MOVs provide high reliability under severe over-voltage and over-current conditions. They are designed to maintain the reliability and accuracy of the power system, even when exposed to extreme electrical stress.
When the supply voltage exceeds the varistor\'s rated voltage (VR), a large current flows through the devices and the voltage across it drops, thus protecting the power system against over-voltage.
