Transasction voltage suppressors (TVSs) are a broad class of active components used for circuit protection in electronics. Varistors are typically bidirectional protection, meaning they protect the circuit from both positive and negative transients. MOVs, conversely, are unidirectional protection, meaning they only protect the circuit from positive transients.

V10P75P is a metal-oxide varistor (MOV) widely used in power electroncs. This device is particularly suitable for applications expecting high surge current conditions with or without large transients. It has a nominal operating voltage of 450V and a maximum peak reverse surge current of 8000A. Typical application fields for this device include power supplies, UPS, transducers, and portable electronics.
