V230SM7, manufactured by KEMET, is an ultra-low capacitance bi-directional TVS diode array designed for the protection of sensitive electronics against electromagnetic interference and transients. This process is known as “voltage clamping” and is the basis of the V230SM7. The MOV also clamps the voltage to a safe peak level so it does not damage other sensitive components.In addition to the protection of components from voltage transients, the V230SM7 can also be utilized for ESD protection, inductive switching, RF/EMI protection, and other types of surge protection.
