V275LC40A Application Field and Working PrincipleTVSs – Transient Voltage Suppressors, or Varistors, MOVs – are a type of passive component used to protect sensitive electrical circuits from high voltage transients. The V275LC40A is a surge protection galvanic voltage limiter that is designed to prevent over-voltage damage and malfunctions caused by electrical surges and transient events. It has a discharging resistor, a transistor and a diode placed in parallel to provide maximum protection for electrical components.
The V275LC40A is a surge protection varistor that is capable of operating in DC applications up to 100V and AC applications up to 300V.
