The V2F6-M3/H rectifier diode also features a pre-fast recovery time, under its specified load conditions, so it can be used in circuits requiring quick current response. It also has excellent clamping capability, making it suitable for transients and spikes protection in power circuits.
Working Principle of V2F6-M3/H Rectifier Diode
The V2F6-M3/H rectifier diode is based on a standard silicon PN junction. As a consequence, it behaves according to the standard behavior of rectifier diodes. During normal operation, the diode allows current to start flowing in one direction only—the forward direction, when the anode is the most positive terminal.
On the other hand, when the anode is the least positive terminal, the diode does not allow current to flow through it and behaves as an open circuit—this is what it is conventionally known as the blocking state. As a consequence, the voltage signal is not rectified, but only lowered—by an amount equivalent to the junction voltage drop, which is around 500mV.
The V2F6-M3/H rectifier diode also features a low forward voltage drop, under normal working conditions, of only 0.6V. This makes it particularly suitable for applications requiring a low voltage drop in order to keep power losses to a minimum.
