V390ZS05PX2855 is a type of TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressors) and MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors). It is specially designed for application in automated equipment in the industrial fields. TVSs and MOVs are used to protect delicate electrical circuits from transient voltage events (electrical fluctuations) such as lightning strike, power line surges and electrostatic discharge (ESD).
TVSs and MOVs are designed to provide a low impedance, minimum capacitive path. When a transient voltage event occurs, the TVS or MOV quickly absorbs the excess voltage.
