Working Principle of V430RA22

V430RA22 can be regarded as a planar metal oxide varistor (MOV). The metal-oxide layers in the V430RA22 will conduct the remaining current. This conductive layer enables quick reaction and reduction feedback.

Specifically, when normal operation in a low-frequency circuit, the metal-oxide varistor works as an electro- isolation equipment. While over-voltage or over-current happens, the voltage or current of its gate will be increased so that the varistor become partially conductive and these currents will be guided to the good conductor parts so as to reduce the voltage and current. Thus the protected electronic circuits from over-voltage and over-current.

V430RA22 is also able to absorb transient over-voltage and increase the preventive tolerances to voltage fluctuations.
