TVS Varistors, MOVs and other nonlinear voltage dependant devices like V47ZA20 are widely used in today\'s electronic circuitry to provide transient voltage protection from high energy, high frequency transients. The V47ZA20 is an exciting new device specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic components from damage due to large voltage fluctuations. The device works by collecting the electrical energy in a high-energy electrochemical layer that can then be dissipated as heat.

V47ZA20 devices can be used to protect circuits from transients or even to protect electronic components from failure due to excessive voltage during normal operation.
