The V47ZA3P is a widely used TVS (transient voltage suppressor) Varistor and MOV (metal oxide varistor) device employed in electrical circuit boards. It is one of the most popular components for dissipating high-voltage electrical surges. It uses volt-ampere characteristics to detect voltage anomalies in the electrical system, as well as to limit the current and voltage passes.
The V47ZA3P utilizes a silicon-based semiconductor structure combined with metal oxide for resistance and capacitance to achieve voltage spike protection. Its construction consists of two small plates embedded within a non-conductive material. These plates serve as semiconductor structures with a positive terminal on the plate on the left and a negative terminal on the plate on the right.
