VC805-HUT03R is a versatile digital timer and counter module which is designed for integration in PLC systems. It is mainly used to detect and count the pulses in industrial applications. The module is powered with >12VDC supply voltage and supports 2 independent channels. Each input channel can be used to detect pulses of 0.1s or more than 0.1s width. It also provides outputs of 0 - 999 seconds or 0 - 99 minutes.

In the counter mode, the input signals are continuously counted with no reset. The user can select the desired count value from 0 to 999. The count is continually incremented with each input pulse and when it reaches the designated count value, the corresponding output is enabled. It can be used for measuring time interval or speed of pulse.

The Event Counter mode is used to count discrete signals with an adjustable time window. When the signal is presented at the input, the counter starts counting until the preset time limit is reached. The user can define the time window in seconds or minutes. The output will be enabled once the count value reaches the preselected number.

The module is convenient to operate as it provides LED indicators for displaying the timer/counter values and status. It also features decent pulse repetition frequency of 50kHz. As its input line supports both PNP and NPN type transistor’s output, this digital timer and counter module is considered as an idle choice for industrial applications.
