The VE2045C-E3/45 is an unidirectional alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) rectifier and voltage regulator array, incorporating twelve individual discrete units. It is specially designed to reduce the number of components and optimize the performance of rectifier power supplies, converter circuits and DC output applications.The VE2045C-E3/45 typically uses a forward-oriented power source, typically consisting of a three-phase synchronous AC source and a series of transformers. The current output voltage, in conjunction with a voltage regulator, stabilizes the output voltage and minimizes power fluctuations.The array is also provided with protection against over-current and surge-tolerant inputs, to ensure the quality and efficiency of the output load. The two internal varistors in the VE2045C-E3/45 offer protection against input surges up to 900V, enabling reliable output and protection from failure.The VE2045C-E3/45 features exceptionally low forward voltage drop and self-limiting junction capacitance. The rectangular structure of the array assures even unit-to-unit and output-to-output voltage regulation. When using the VE2045C-E3/45, efficiency is enhanced and heat dissipation reduced when compared to other diode rectifier configurations.The VE2045C-E3/45 has a dynamic input voltage range of up to 50 hertz (Hz) and can operate up to 85°C. It is rated to withstand an input current up to 20 Amps and an output current up to 45 Amps. The VE2045C-E3/45 comes with an industry-standard non-isolated terminal and can be used in a wide range of applications, such as AC/DC converter circuits, DC/DC power converters, power supplies, and DC motor control circuitry.The VE2045C-E3/45 rectifier and voltage regulator array is especially suited for surge protection, over-current, variable currents and variable loads in systems where long-term and consistent performance are required. Due to its inherent design flexibility and low forward voltage drop, it is also suitable for use in ultra-high frequency switching power applications operating up to 500 kHz, helping to reduce power loss and improve efficiency.In addition, the high thermal stability and improved forward voltage drop capability of the array make it suitable for use in high-power pulsed applications, high-temperature control circuits, and systems which require ultra-high speed precision switching. The array operates reliably over a wide range of temperatures, ranging from -55°C to +125°C.The VE2045C-E3/45 is also well-suited for input power applications as it is capable of operating off a wide range of AC and DC supplies, such as three-phase AC and DC voltages, solar panel and battery power. As such, it is the ideal solution for a wide range of industrial process control and medical device applications.Overall, the VE2045C-E3/45 is an ideal solution for a wide range of rectifier and voltage regulator applications.
