WM8963ECSN/R is an interface-CODEC designed by Wolfson. It provides an integrated audio system solution to the consumer electronics devices. It is widely used in smartphones, tablets, audio docking systems and home theater systems. The device integrates a high-performance audio codec, stereo analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, analog mixing/amplification, power management and control mechanisms, plus various inputs and outputs for connecting external audio components.

The device is an ultra low power, low cost, single-channel audio CODEC that includes integrated analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters and supports audio sampling rates from 8kHz up to 48kHz. It has a built-in low leakage charge pump amplifier which can drive up to 3.2V or 4.2V, a digital and analog microphone amplifier, and a headphone amplifier. The device also supports 8-24 bit digital audio data resolutions.
