Film capacitors, also known as plastic film capacitors, are passive components composed of thin plastic film and metal electrodes. They have characteristics of small size, stable capacity, low temperature coefficient, good frequency characteristics and large operating voltage. The high capacity range, high dielectric constant, thin dielectric layer and organic film are the main residues. The main applications of film capacitors include signal coupling, signal filtering, power transmission and decoupling, etc. The WMF1S15K-F film capacitor has a capacitance of 15K, a rated voltage of 24V, a size of 13.2X9.4X4.4mm and a large capacity range. The core structure of the film capacitor is made of thin plastic film, metallized aluminum electrodes, gas sealed dielectric material, insulation sheath and other materials, which can achieve stable electrical parameters. It mainly adopts two technologies, one is using film capacitors as the core, and the other is using metallized electrodes, which can obtain the core characteristics of large capacitance and long service life.The working principle of the WMF1S15K-F film capacitor is its electrostatic storage characteristics. When an AC signal is applied on it, its two electrodes will form two electric fields between which the electric charge can move and be stored. The electric charge that flows from the outside to the inside of the capacitor is called the charging current, which is a time-varying current. The electric charge stored in the capacitor forms a capacitive voltage between the two terminals. This capacitive voltage opposes the applied voltage and absorbs the input current.The application field of the WMF1S15K-F film capacitor mainly includes radio frequency (RF) transmission and reception circuits, high resolution audio and video backlight circuits, electric circuits of home appliances, industrial electrical and automotive electrical and other electric circuits. For example, it is often used in the front end of receivers and television sets, as well as in the electric field of automotive electrical appliances, to provide surge current protection. In audio circuits, it is used to filter alternate current calculation circuits, reduce noise and keep sound signals clean. In power transmission and decoupling field, it is used to filter and block high frequency interference signals, so as to keep signal transmission signal clean and reduce signal distortion.Film capacitors have become a commonly used component in the modern electronic circuit because of their characteristics of smaller size, higher capacitance, high stability, environmental protection and wide application range.
