WWX stands for Wide-area Wireless Experiment and is a protocol developed to facilitate efficient and reliable wireless communication. WWX operates with three main components, the Physical Layer (PHY), the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer, and the Network Layer (NET). The WWX protocol is designed to achieve interoperability in wireless communications networks by leveraging common communication standards such as 802.11 Wireless LANs and Bluetooth.
