The X40011V8-C is a high-tech device which belongs to PMIC - Supervisors. It is primarily used for supervising nearly any electronic circuit and monitoring system power-on. The X40011V8-C is a complete dual-phase voltage supervisor designed to control multiple power rails during system power-on. It has built-in voltage monitoring and reset generation circuits which allow it to reset the system during a brownout or power failure. The reset generation circuits also monitor input power, and can detect changes in the input power by sensing the rising or falling edges of the voltage. The reset behavior of the X40011V8-C can be programmed by connecting the two programmable hold and the two programmable reset pins to ground. This supervisor also features two power-down reset outputs which can be used to reset the other ICs in the system when the input power is below the power-down threshold.
The X40011V8-C device includes an internal voltage monitor that can detect an undervoltage condition on the main supply (Vcc). The V monitor also counts time and evaluate the time delay before powering-on the supervisor. The X40011V8-C can be configured to provide either a power-on reset (POR) or an undervoltage reset (UVR). When used in POR mode, the X40011V8-C device triggers a reset whenever the voltage falls below its active threshold. In UVR mode, the device will not trigger a reset until the voltage falls below its active threshold for a predetermined time period.
