The X40626S14I-4.5AT1 is a high-performance, low-power integrated supervisory circuit used for a variety of power management applications. The device is a powered high-side, low-side current supervisor with built-in temperature, voltage and Fault protection. The device provides advanced protection features and accuracy that exceeds traditional methods of over-current and over-temperature protection, while offering the advantages of low current consumption and small package size. It also provides voltage transients protection, over-temperature, under-voltage lockout, and Fault reporting. The device is offered in a small package that contains all necessary components and is ideal for use in applications such as power supply and system protection, including over-current, over-temperature and under-voltage protection. It is also suitable for use in systems using advanced protection circuits. The X40626S14I-4.5AT1 has two primary analog inputs, the high-voltage and I/O line voltages. It features two analog outputs, the current sense output and open drain output. The current sense output is a gain-scalable analog voltage that is generated proportional to the amount of current that passes through the sense resistor connected to the current sense input. This output is monitored to detect over-current or under-current conditions, and can be used to trigger a warning when the threshold is exceeded. The open drain output is used to provide an active low output when an over-current condition is detected by the current sense output.The device also has an integrated temperature sensor which is used to detect over-temperature conditions. When an over-temperature condition is detected, the temperature sensor output is compared to the temperature setpoint. If the detected temperature exceeds the setpoint, the open drain output is activated and a warning is generated. The X40626S14I-4.5AT1 also has an integrated voltage regulator that is used to monitor the incoming supply voltage. This voltage regulator is monitored to detect over-voltage or under-voltage conditions.
