The X4163PIZ-4.5A is a single-voltage detector PMIC supervisor that consists of a high-performance voltage detector followed by a programmable reboot delay, reset or watchdog timeout, and active-low or active-high output. It is designed to detect a power supply failure and assert a reset or watchdog signal to ensure reliable system operation.
When the voltage on the VCC pin drops below the preset reset trigger threshold, the supervisor will activate. This will assert a reset signal with a programmable delay. When the power supply is in the proper range, the supervisor will not assert any reset signal. The reset signal can be set as active high or active low when required.
The reset timer output has a programmable delay for up to 1024ms with a 1 ms resolution. To build a watchdog function, the device has an adjustable reset timer from 2ms to 4096 ms with a 4 ms resolution. Both reset timer and reset timeout can be disabled when not needed. For safety, the X4163PIZ-4.5A has a built-in thermal protection to prevent the device from an excessive temperature.
