Working principle

The X5649S14-4.5A contains a low-drop voltage regulator, which is designed to source a regulated voltage at the VCC pin of the device. The regulated voltage is dependent on the input voltage and the value of the RSET resistor. This regulated voltage is compared to the reference voltage, which is derived from the value of the RSET resistor on the device. The output of the voltage regulator is also fed to the RESET pin of the device. Once the input voltage drops below the regulated voltage, the RESET pin is pulled low.
