XC17V01VO8C Configuration Proms for FPGAs is a one-time programmable memory device specifically designed to store computer program and data for FPGA configuration purposes. It is an ideal device for field-programmable gate array (FPGA) applications since it can be programmed properly within system, achieving single-chip device-level configuration and minimizing cost associated with on-chip non-volatile memory devices commonly used for FPGA configuration purposes.

The XC17V01VO8C uses a nonvolatile floating-gate EEPROM technology to provide low-power, high-density configuration memory for FPGAs. The XC17V01VO8C from Xilinx is manufactured using 0.8 micron high-density, floating-gate CMOS technology which features very low power due to its low-current sense amp design. The device is designed to withstand high voltage programming operations over the temperature range of -65 to +150 degrees Celsius.

The device utilizes a simple, serial programming architecture which adopts the same low-power, high-speed sense amplitude as other configuration memories. It operates in a power-saving standby and high-speed read-write mode in order to minimize power consumption while still providing fast programming and reconfiguration of FPGA devices. The XC17V01VO8C is capable of storing up to 64K of 16-bit data bits, compatible with the JEDEC Joint Electronic Device Engineering Council standard so that it is interoperable with devices that follow similar standards.

XC17V01VO8C\'s use a standard JTAG for programming, allowing concurrent configuration and detection operations to simplify data and clock management. The Dynamic Reconfiguration Port (DRP) is used to initiate dynamic reconfiguration operations off-chip, while the System into Reset (SIR) pin is used to reset the on-chip logic resources. The device also has an Enhanced Asynchronous Clear (EAC) pin to restore the logic resources to its appropriate state.

The XC17V01VO8C has a wide range of applications due to its flexibility and low power consumption.
