The XRD54L08AID-F is a high-precision, single-channel, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from XRD. It is designed for use in data acquisition systems, motor control, and automated test equipment. This device operates from a single +5V or a dual +5V and +12V power supply, and provides both single-supply operation and excellent performance. The XRD54L08AID-F has an input range of 0-3.3V and can convert a digital signal of 0-4095 into an analog output of 0V-3.3V. By applying an appropriate voltage to the internal current sources, the XRD54L08AID-F enables a wide range of output levels from 0V to 3.3V. It features a 100kHz maximum output update rate and a maximum output ripple voltage of 750 μV. The XRD54L08AID-F also features a low power dissipation of 1.8 mW/channel and low offset voltage of 0.9mV (max). It also has excellent linearity of 0.002% maximum. The device also includes two integrated current sources, one of which is used to set the output level independently of the input data (gain), and the other is used to reduce the settling time of the output after a data change (offset). In addition, the XRD54L08AID-F also includes various safety functions, including an overvoltage protection circuit, a power-on reset, and a thermal shutdown circuit that protects the device from overheating.
