The XRP7713EVB-DEMO-1-KIT is an evaluation board used for DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS designs. It is specifically designed for the adoption of a very low radiated EMI power solution that can be used for slim and thin form factor Power Supply designs. The EVB has a constant current load, enabling combined power conversion and load stability tests. It supports a comprehensive range of power sources, from medium power supplies to high capacity power converter designs.
The kit comes with an XRP7713-LPM integrated circuit, which is designed with a high switching frequency of up to 3.8 MHz. This product integrates a power MOSFET, current sensing and current limiting circuits, as well as a PFC controller. The XRP7713-LPM also implements protection features such as VCC Overvoltage protection, VCC Undervoltage Protection, Internal FET Overtemperature Protection, Input OVP, Output OVP, Output OCP, Short Circuit Protection, and others.
The working principle of the XRP7713EVB-DEMO-1-KIT is based on switching converter topologies, specifically on a Flyback type converter. It includes a power MOSFET, current sensing and current limiting circuits, as well as a PFC controller integrated into the IC. In terms of primary-side control, the onboard PFC controller monitors and controls the input voltage. It allow for very accurate voltage regulation. The power MOSFET operates in switching mode, providing fast response and low losses at the same time. The XRP7713 also provides fast current sensing and current limiting functions.
The XRP7713EVB-DEMO-1-KIT is mainly used for converter evaluation and prototyping. It is useful for verifying performance, stability, and converters before realizing full design. Other applications include AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, power converters, offline power supplies, gateway products, and more.
