It is used for synchronization and modulation of High Speed Data by controlling various digital and analog components. The device is used in applications like PTP and MRPD (Media Redundancy Protocol) for synchronization of data along the transmission path. It includes a variety of digital IO blocks and analog components to perform the clock/timing functions.The XRT8000IP-F’s main components include a large frequency synthesizer, a low-jitter phase-locked loop (PLL), an output frequency divider, an oscillator, a zero-delay buffer and a frequency trimming circuit.
