XTR106U/2K5 Application Field and Working Principle
The XTR106U/2K5 interface from Intersil is an industrial-grade transimpedance amplifier designed specifically for sensing signals from highly capacitive detectors. Its primary application area is fiber-optic communications, with excellent performance for use in a wide range of precision systems. The XTR106U/2K5 is a low power three-stage amplifier with a transimpedance gain of 2000 V/A, making it ideal for a wide range of light sensing applications. Inputs are routed directly to the amplifier, which is capable of operating from both DC and AC signals. Outputs are provided via an adjustable voltage reference, allowing fine-tuning of the magnitude and polarity of the produced current. The XTR106U/2K5 also features an adjustable limitation current (Icc) feature, which allows it to protect itself from overload.
