Working Principle
Y406910K0000J0L is a rotary trimmer potentiometer, it has three pins. The leftmost pin is connected to ground. The third pin is connected to the power source. Then the second pin is connected to the internal resistor in the center (Figure 1). When the resistor is rotated, the resistance between the pins will change and also the potential difference between the pins will change. When the resistor is rotated in a clockwise direction, the resistance increases from its minimum value and the potential difference Vout increases accordingly. Meanwhile, when it is rotated in the opposite direction, the resistance decreases from its minimum value and the potential difference Vout decreases correspondingly.
