The working principle of the single-phase motor YB8063 is the same as that of the three-phase motor. The external copper sheet of the stator generates a rotating flux. When the rotor winding is connected to the single-phase AC power supply, the torque is produced in the rotor winding. It is this torque that drives the rotor to rotate, and the rotor speed is determined by the ratio of the phase difference between the two windings of the stator.

When the motor is in operation, the single-phase power supply is connected to the power windings, which becomes a rotating flux, and the power windings are connected to the start windings. The current flowing through the start winding produces a pulsating magnetic field. The start winding current has twice the frequency of the power winding current, so the phase difference between the rotor and the stator is twice the frequency of the power winding current. When the torque generated by the rotor and the stator flux interacts, the rotor rotates at a certain speed, and the start winding is disconnected as the speed increases.
