PTC Resettable Fuses are widely used in electronic products and are applied in various industries, such as computers, automobiles, audio-visual products, household appliances, etc. YPCL0150T is one type of PTC Resettable Fuses, which has lots of advantages, such as fast response, reliable operation, wide range of voltage regulation, and much more. PTC Resettable Fuses is now commonly used to provide over-current protection, under-voltage protection, over-voltage protection, without-load protection and earth fault protection.

YPCL0150T is a self-recovery type of over-voltage protector. When the voltage reaches or exceeds its rated voltage level, the fuse element will break down. The normal grounding current flows through another grounding ring and the thermal release element connection point and then to the ground. The over-current generated by the device is absorbed by the fuse element, causing it to heat up and melt. During melting, it cuts off the over-voltage protection circuit.

When the rated voltage is restored, the reset process of YPCL0150T automatically begins. After the temperature gradually decreases, the fuse element cools down and restores itself from the previous state. This process can repeat itself many times, allowing YPCL0150T to provide a type of “open protective” functionality. As the temperature increases, the heat-release element connected at the grounded point will break down and pass the current when the operating voltage is zero.

The current flow of YPCL0150T gradually decreases when the supply voltage reaches its rated voltage.
