Introduction to the ZPY24-TR

Working Principle

The Zener series single diode ZPY24-TR operates by way of a constant voltage feature. When the voltage level exceeds the diode’s rated voltage value, the diode will start to conduct current. When there is an undesired increase in voltage, the diode acts as a resistor, clamping the voltage so that it is limited to or below the rated voltage value of the diode.
