The ZSH330C supervisor, which is designed and manufactured by Zener, is designed to provide long-term reliability and accurate voltage detection for digital ICs and power ICs. It consists of an input circuit, an output circuit, and a counter and logic block.
The input circuit consists of an external voltage clamping diode connected to a voltage detector. When a voltage is applied to the diode, a voltage waveform is generated that is transmitted through the detector and a timer circuit. The voltage waveform will be compared with the expectations of the system to determine if the voltage is within the expected range.
The output circuit is made up of a transformer, a diode and a protection circuit. This circuit is responsible for the output stage protection from the overvoltage and undervoltage events. The transformer is used to transfer the input voltage to the output level. The protection circuit is responsible for providing short-circuit and overcurrent protection for the output device.
The counter and logic block is responsible for the operation of the supervisor. It contains a counter that keeps track of the number of cycles that have gone by since the supervisor was powered up.
