The ZSR800N8TA Voltage Regulator (LDO) is designed to provide a regulated voltage using Linear technology. It offers improved stability, accuracy and load-transient characteristics as compared to other conventional LDO’s. The low dropout (LDO) regulator operates by comparing the regulated voltage with a reference voltage, usually achieved through a Zener or bandgap reference, and then subtracting the voltage drop due to the quiescent current flowing out of the output terminal. The difference between the reference voltage and the measured output voltage is amplified and then used to turn on or off a switch as needed to maintain the desired output voltage. This type of feedback control is known as closed loop feedback or linear technology.
