VSC8488YJU is a high performance 400G Ethernet chip developed and manufactured by SALIX Technology. It possesses multiple ports which support data rates of up to 400 Gbps full duplex and a maximum aggregate transfer rate of 800 Gbps. VSC8488YJU follows the industry-standard IEEE 802.3bs, and features four-channel PAM4 physical coding sub-layer (PCS) for distances of up to 10 km.

Working Principle
VSC8488YJU is an application–specific integrated circuit (ASIC) that contains a processor, memory and input/output (I/O) logic.
