It is based on the Multi-core Muxing and Demuxing (MDM) architecture and provides four equaliser outputs from one differential set of mux and four equaliser inputs from one differential set of demux, enabling the user to increase channel count for improved scalability. The IC operates at data rates of up to 10.8Gb/s with a power budget of 1.2 Watts per channel and a differential output swing of 800mV.
The VSC8641XJF is designed for scalability by supporting both standard and custom equalisers, providing optimal signal integrity performance for a broad range of applications such as multi-ports, multiple casts, and differential devices.
