What are the common semiconductor rectifying electronic components?

1, Thyristor

A thyristor is an abbreviation of a thyristor rectifying element, and is a four-layer high-power semiconductor device having three PN junctions.

It has the characteristics of relatively small size, relatively simple structure and strong function, and is one of the more commonly used semiconductor devices.

Thyristors are widely used in various electronic equipment and electronic products, and are used for rectification, invertion, frequency conversion, voltage regulation, and non-contact switching. The shape of the thyristor is shown below.

2.Bridge stack

The main function of the bridge stack is to rectify and adjust the current direction. Rectification with bridge stacks is better because the four tubes inside the bridge are generally paired, so the performance is more stable. Near the high-power rectification, the thermal block can be installed on the bridge stack to make the performance more stable during operation.

Of course, different bridge stack should be used for different applications. It is not only necessary to see whether the withstand voltage is sufficient, whether the high-frequency characteristics are achieved, etc., but also should be considered in combination with the use occasion.

The rectifier bridge stack is connected by four rectifying silicon chips. The outer casing is made of insulating plastic and encapsulated with epoxy resin. The high-power rectifier bridge is wrapped with zinc metal shell outside the insulating layer to enhance heat dissipation. The shape of the rectifier bridge is flat, round, square, bench-shaped (in-line and patch), etc., with GPP and O/I structure. The maximum rectified current is from 0.5 to 100A, and the highest reverse peak voltage is from 50 to 1600V.
