One, LED digital tube
LED digital tube also known as semiconductor digital tube ( Figure 1-1-5 ),it is a number of light-emitting diodes arranged in a fixed pattern and packaged together the most commonly used digital display one of the devices.The LED digital tube has the advantages of clear luminous display,fast response,low power consumption,small size,long service life,impact resistance,easy connection with various driving circuits,etc,it is widely applied in all kinds of digital display instruments and digital control equipment.There are many kinds of LED digital tube,and there are many kinds of LED digital tubes.Here, we only introduce the recognition and usage of the most commonly used small " 8 "shaped LED digital tubes to beginners.
Structure and characteristics
At present,the commonly used small LED digital tubes are mostly "8" shaped digital tubes, which consist of 8 light-emitting diodes, of which 7 light-emitting diodes (a~g) form a "8" structure (also called the 7 segment LED digital tube) as 7 strokes, and the remaining 1 light-emitting diodes (h or DP) constitute a decimal point, as shown in figure 1-3-6 (a). Each light emitting diode is connected by a common cathode or common anode, which connects all negative electrodes (cathode) or positive pole (anode) of all light emitting diodes as a common pin, and each of the positive or negative electrodes corresponding to each light emitting diode is separately used as an independent pin (called a "pen segment electrode"),and the name of the pin and figure 1-3-6 are respectively.(a) the light emitting diodes (a), B, e, D, e, F, feet and H feet (decimal points),as shown in figure 1-3-6 (b),can display 10 numbers and 6 letters as shown in diagram 1-3-6 (c),and can also display decimal points, which can be used in 2, 1. The display of 0 and 16 digits is very extensive.
The form and type of the small LED digital tube package almost all adopt the dual-in-line structure,and according to the need to be 1 at most " 8 " glyph character seal installed together to form a digital tube with different display bits. If the number of display digits ( that is, the number of all digital characters ) is divided, there are digital tube, as shown in Figure 1,If the internal light-emitting diode connection is divided into different ways,there are two kinds of common cathode digital tube and common anode digital tube;according to the different character color,there are red,green,yellow,orange,blue,white and other digital tube; according to the different display brightness,there are ordinary brightness digital tube and high brightness digital tube;according to the display font,it can be divided into digital tube and symbol tube.
The main parameters to characterize the performance of LED digital tube are optical parameters and electrical parameters.
The two major categories depend on internal light emitting diodes.In addition,the word height is an important parameter to measure the character size of LED digital tube."Word height"specifically refers to the display
The height of a character,as shown in figure 1-3-8.The foreign model LED digital tube is commonly used in inches as the "word height" unit,while the domestic tube is made in millimeters.
