How to detect and repair ?

( 1 ) Direct observation method for determining positive and negative electrodes and their good or bad.

The tube of the LED is made of transparent plastic, and the shape of the two leading-out lines in the tube body is carefully observed from the side, the smaller one is the positive pole, the larger end is the negative electrode. RX 10kΩ must be used. Because the pressure drop of the LED is about 2V, the high brightness tube is as high as 56V, and the multimeter " RX1kΩ " and the following are only the battery 1.5V, lower than the tube pressure drop, whether it is forward or reverse connection, LEDs are impossible to conduct, it can not be detected.

The RX10kΩ stopwatch is internally connected to 15V ( some of the multimeter is 9V ) high voltage battery pressure drop, so it can be used to detect light-emitting diodes.  The multimeter black pen ( the battery anode in the table ) is connected to the LED positive pole, and the red pen ( the negative electrode of the battery in the table ) is connected with the LED negative electrode, measure its forward resistance. The needle should be turned half away, and at the same time, there is a light point in the LED. After adjusting the two stylus, the reverse resistance is measured, that is, the LED does not emit light. If the forward or reverse connection is either positive or not, the LEDs are damaged.


(2) Repaire

When the LED is repaired, it has been proved that some light emitting diodes can be repaired after being damaged. The concrete method is: use the wire through the current limiting resistor to connect the light or light light emitting diode to the power supply, with the left hand holder clamped in the middle of the cathode lead of the light emitting diode, the right hand holding the hot electric iron in the root of the cathode pin of the light emitting diode, and when the plastic of the root of the pin is softened, the right hand is slightly used. Force the foot to the inner pressure, and pay attention to the observation effect. For the light emitting diodes, it is possible to see the beginning of the light emitting; the appropriate control of the time of the heating of the electric soldering iron and the force exerted on the pin of the tube can make the luminous intensity of the light emitting diode be restored to the level of the similar tube. If there is still no light, the tube is damaged.
