1. Fuse resistor

1) Appearance inspection.

In electronic or electrical circuits, after the breakdown of the resistor, the external surface can be visually checked to see if it has blackened or charred phenomenon. If there is, it is overloaded and the current flowing through the fuse resistor exceeds its rated current value, which results in the breakdown of the fuse.

2) the detection method.

If there is no blackening or coke burning phenomenon found in the direct inspection, the Rx1 block of the pointer multimeter can be used to detect and judge. In order to ensure the accuracy of the detection, the end of the fuse resistor should be welded down from the circuit, and then the two pens of the multimeter should be touched by the two pins of the resistor to observe the indication of the pointer.

If the detected value of the resistance is infinity, it indicates that the fuse resistor under review has failed in the open circuit; if the measured resistance value is much different from the nominal value, the resistance metamorphoses, and the new, the same size of accessories should be replaced.

2. thermistor

Because thermistor usually belongs to fixed resistor, the method of measuring thermistor with pointer multimeter is exactly the same as that using pointer multimeter to detect ordinary fixed resistance. Reference can be made to the methods and requirements for the detection of ordinary fixed resistors.
