Classification of bimetal thermometers

Last Update Time: 2019-07-08 15:30:35

The temperature sensing element portion of the bimetal thermometer is composed of two layers of metal sheets having a relatively large difference in linear expansion coefficient, and one end of the element is a free end and the other end is fixed. When the temperature changes, because the material of the bimetal is different, the difference in linear expansion coefficient is very large, and different expansion and contraction will occur, resulting in bending deformation of the bimetal, and the pointer is driven by the free end transmission mechanism, so that The temperature is indicated on the dial.

The bimetal thermometer can be divided into the following categories according to the connection direction of the pointer plate and the protection tube:

1, 135 ° type bimetal thermometer, the pointer plate and the protection tube are connected at 135 °;

2, universal bimetal thermometer, pointer plate and protection tube can be adjusted at any angle.

3. The axial type bimetal thermometer, the pointer disc and the protection tube are vertically connected;

4. Radial type bimetal thermometer, the pointer disc and the protection tube are connected in parallel;

5, bimetal thermometer installation form: usually threaded, flanged, no fixed devices.

The temperature sensing elements of the bimetal thermometer are in the form of a flat spiral and a linear spiral. The temperature measurement range is -80 to 600 °C, and the accuracy level is about 1.5.

The bimetal thermometer has good shock resistance, small volume, fast response, good linearity and high stability. Some products can also work at high temperatures.
