Sensors are hardware components that provide information about your computer's location, environment, and more. Programs on your computer can access information from sensors and then store or use that information to help you complete your daily tasks or improve your computer experience.

There are two types of sensors:

1. sensor built into the computer

2. Sensor connected to the computer via a wired or wireless connection

Some sensor examples include position sensors (such as GPS receivers) that detect the current location of the computer. The program can then use this location to provide you with information about nearby restaurants or directions to the next destination. A light sensor mounted on the computer detects the ambient light and then adjusts the brightness of the screen to suit the surrounding environment.

The laptop can be loaded when there is GPS on the car, so that the notebook also has a sense of orientation or collection of surrounding information.
