( 1 ) When measuring and detecting thermocouple, they can directly use the multimeter to  measure, and if there is no difference, the thermal couple may have circuit breakdowns.

 

( 2 ) Notes on the use of thermocouples

1)The thermocouple and the instrument index number must be the same.

 

2)The thermocouple and the electronic potential difference meter are not allowed to be connected with copper wires, and the compensation wires that are matched with the thermocouple should be selected. When installed, the positive and negative poles of the thermocouple and the compensation wire must be corresponding, and the positive and negative poles of the compensation wire connected to the instrument must be corresponding.

 

3)The installation position of the compensation wire of the thermocouple is to avoid the high-power power line as far as possible, and should be far away from the strong magnetic field and the strong electric field, otherwise it is easy to cause interference to the instrument.

 

(3)Installation of thermocouple.

 Thermocouples should not be placed too close to the door and heating source. The depth of the thermocouple in the furnace can be determined according to the actual situation. On the one hand, the working side should be as close as possible to the measured object, so as to ensure the accuracy of the measurement. On the other hand, in order to facilitate the loading and unloading work and not damage the thermocouple, it requires that the working end and the measured object have an appropriate distance, generally not less than 100 mm. The junction box of the thermocouple should not be attached to the wall of the furnace.


The thermocouple should be installed vertically as far as possible to avoid deformation of the protective tube at high temperature. If horizontal installation is required, apply the support of refractory clay and heat-resistant alloy support. The gap between the thermocouple protective tube and the furnace wall is blocked by an insulating material ( refractory mud or asbestos rope ), so as to avoid the convection of hot and cold air affecting the accuracy of temperature measurement. When using thermocouple to measure the medium temperature in the pipeline, it should be noted that there is enough inserting depth at the working end of the thermocouple, for example, the diameter of the pipe is small, it can be tilted or installed at the bend of the pipe. When installing the thermocouple of the protective tube such as porcelain and aluminum, the selected position should be appropriate, so as not to damage the protective tube because of the movement of heating the workpiece. When inserting or taking out the thermocouple, it is necessary to avoid the rapid quenching and heat, so as to avoid the rupture of the protective tube. To protect the test accuracy, thermocouples should be calibrated periodically.
