What should be the correct way to open the battery sensor?

With the development of power electronics technology, converter, frequency conversion and inverter technologies are widely used in the new energy industry. With the advent of the new technology revolution, the world has begun to enter the information age. In the process of using information, the first thing to be solved is to obtain accurate and reliable information, and sensors are the main way and means to obtain information in the fields of nature and production. Although the sensor is an electronic device, it is different from ordinary devices. Different installation methods and different usage methods will affect the sensor performance.

Such as: converter valves in high-voltage DC transmission, inverters for core equipment for solar power generation, main converters for wind power generation, high-speed rail traction drive converters, and robotic servo drives necessary for intelligent manufacturing. Can not do without the core device sensors for current and voltage measurement. The performance of the sensor directly affects the optimal operation of the entire device and even the system. After a long period of practical experience, the author summarizes the problems and precautions in the actual application of the sensor.

First of all, before using the sensor, it is necessary to verify the working power supply voltage level and whether the measurement range is consistent with the measured signal! It is best to read the specifications carefully! Avoid misuse and mixing of different voltages and currents. For the convenience of reference, the correct use of the sensor is discussed in the following aspects.

Use environment

The environment in which the sensor is used should be free of conductive dust and non-corrosive metals and gases that destroy insulation. Otherwise, the sensor may be damaged due to the occurrence of a primary or secondary circuit between the conductive dust and the object, or a short circuit between the secondary power supply and the signal.

1.1 Ambient temperature

The sensor's specification will specify the normal ambient temperature range of the sensor, such as -40 ~ 85 degrees, depending on the product model. It is recommended not to exceed the temperature range specified in the specification. Beyond the normal operating temperature range of the sensor, some internal components will degrade performance due to temperature characteristics, reduce accuracy, output signals are inaccurate, or cannot work.

The sensor should be installed in a place with good ventilation as much as possible, so that the high temperature will not affect the measurement accuracy and life of the sensor.

1.2 Altitude

Generally, the sensor is designed with altitude in mind, but it is generally 2000 meters. But it is not only applicable to altitudes below 2000 meters. If the altitude exceeds 2000 meters in actual use, it will mainly affect the heat dissipation and insulation performance of the sensor. Will reduce the insulation characteristics, although the insulation can also be improved by external means, but it is difficult to implement and will increase the cost. In actual selection and use, you can refer to the provisions of the IEC 60664-1 standard for derating. For details, see IEC 60664-1 Section 5.1.4, Table A.2 Derating Factors. The heat dissipation problem can be solved relatively easily by means of forced air cooling.

1.3 Installation position

Since the sensor is a non-contact measurement, most of it detects the magnetic field around the charged conductor, so there should not be a strong magnetic field near the sensor, and devices that easily generate magnetic fields. Including transformers, reactors, and conductors that carry large currents. Especially in the three-phase test, adjacent sensors should not be installed too close. Where space permits, the spacing should be as large as possible.

Sometimes it is limited by the cabinet and its internal layout, it is difficult to leave enough space. In this case, it is recommended that the sensor be installed in a misplaced position, especially for the HALL principle. The position of the HALL device should be as much as possible.
