Working Principle

0FLQ025.HXR fuse has a metal alloy (usually either lead or zinc) strip. This is connected in series between the two poles of the electrical circuit. In case of a fault, current begins to rise suddenly. This causes the metal strip to heat up and expand quickly. As the metal strip expands, it breaks the circuit. The metal strip automatically resets itself when the current levels return to normal.

Because of its small size, the 0FLQ025.HXR fuse can be applied in confined spaces with limited airflow. The metal alloystrip prevents the components it is protecting from over-current and short-circuit problems.
