0FLQ1.12HXR Application Field and Working Principle

Fuses are current-dependent components, used to break an electrical circuit in the event of an overcurrent or short-circuit. The 0FLQ1.12HXR fuse is a rectifying fuse, a type of fuse specifically designed to be used in motor circuits and intended for the protection of motors or motor-start capacitors against the effects of overload and short-circuit currents. This fuse is able to function in both AC and DC circuits, with a rated current range of 1.1-12 amperes and a rated voltage of 1000 volts.

Design

0FLQ1.12HXR fuses have a single-element design, with a cylindrical body having a diameter of 13 mm and a length of 50 mm. The fuse is designed as a two-part body, with a metal base and a plastic cover. The anode and cathode parts of the fuse are connected to the metal base and the cover, respectively. The top of the fuse has an M3 thread for installing a cap (not included).

Working Principle

0FLQ1.12HXR fuses work by using a special material which "melts" at a certain predetermined temperature and current level. When the fuse is activated, the material melts, effectively breaking the circuit and preventing further damage from occurring. The fuse is designed to trip quickly, preventing damage from high-powered current surges and shorts. It is important to note that the fuse can only be used one time - once it has "blown" it must be replaced.
