This type of fuse is self-extinguishing and is designed to disconnect power within a few milliseconds after an overload or short circuit occurs. It features an ultra-low profile and superior construction quality. |
| Working principle | 0MAX060.XP fuses are typically constructed out of a metal alloy with a high melting point. This ensures the fuse will stay intact in the event of a sustained overload or short circuit, and prevents the conductor material from melting down or becoming distorted. In operation, 0MAX060.XP fuses will protect circuits from overloads by breaking the circuit when the current exceeds the rated value of the fuse. This is achieved by the fuse element in the centre of the fuse which melts when it gets too hot. This interrupting the flow of electricity which prevents further damage to the circuit. In addition, the thermal fuse element helps prevents the re-incorporation of the fault when the power is restored. |
