1.5SMC20AT3 TVS Diode is an ultra-low capacitance surge protection device (SPD) which is ideal for applications including USB2.0, IEC61000-4-2, IEC61347-2-13 and Firewire. It is designed to protect against fast transients by absorbing transients in printed circuit board, power supply and communication line.
Working Principle:
The working principle of 1.5SMC20AT3 TVS Diode is based on a series of co-coordinated steps. Firstly, it provides a high impedance path when a transient is applied to the protected circuit. Secondly, the diode will conduct current and absorb the energy from the transient. Thirdly, it will dissipate the energy as heat and protect the circuit from damage.
