Terminal Blocks - Headers, Plugs and Sockets are widely used for interconnecting, voltage and current measurement, and DC motor testing end applications. They are commonly used in the manufacturing process to connect wires into motor harnesses, circuit boards, and other electronic components.

Headers, plugs and sockets comprise a complete terminal block system. Headers connect the wires and plugs, while plugs and sockets provide a secure and reliable connection between parts. Headers are usually made of metal components and are installed into a frame or panel for added protection and strength. Plugs are usually made from plastic or metal and are installed onto the header using provided mounting holes. These plugs feature a spring-loaded contact in the center and a locking tongue that snaps into place to provide additional security. Sockets are also made from plastic and metal and mount onto the header using provided mounting holes. They feature two-piece contact designs that slide into place and have locking wings for additional protection.

The terminals that are used in terminal block systems are typically rated to handle voltage and current levels up to 200V, and up to 25A. Depending on the application, different terminal blocks may be used. For example, for applications involving lower voltage and current levels, mini-terminal blocks may be used. These are smaller, more compact versions of standard terminal blocks and feature a spring-loaded contact as well as locking wings and tongue.

Terminal blocks also have the added benefit of being easy to install and remove. The plug and socket are simply inserted into the header and secured with screws. The wires are then connected to the terminals, and the entire assembly is secured with a cover and screws. This makes it easy to access the terminals and quickly replace them if needed. In addition, terminal blocks are also highly resistant to vibration and shock, which is important for applications in which electric components are quickly being switched or moved.

The working principle of terminal blocks is relatively simple. When voltage is applied, the terminal blocks create a connection between the two parts by making a conducting connection between the two, often using the spring-loaded contact which slides into the header. This contact creates a low-resistance path for the current, allowing the current to flow through as desired. At the same time, the locking wings and tongue prevent any accidental disconnection which could damage the circuit or cause a fire.

Terminal blocks have a number of uses, including connecting wires and connectors, voltage and current measurement, and DC motor testing. They provide a secure and reliable connection between the wires and the components. In addition, in most cases, they are relatively easy to install and remove. Terminal blocks are available in a wide range of sizes and configurations for a variety of applications, making them a popular choice for many applications.
