A Transor Pro Type 1KSMBJ110A, is a type of unidirectional TVS diode for ESDA protection in high-speed data line applications. It is designed to protect data lines from overvoltage transients up to 8kV on any power or signal line. With very low capacitance, typically 1pF, it is suitable for high-speed data line protection.
The 1KSMBJ110A has 5 basic components. It is composed of two diodes, a polycarbonate protection tube, an insulating lid and a shield drain lead, all of which combine to provide a high level of ESD immunity and dynamic protection from voltage transients. At the heart of the diode is the silicon gate.
