General Description

The 1N3308A diode, a single Zeners, is a signal and switching diode, also known as a Zener breakdown diode. This works by using the Zener breakdown phenomenon, which occurs when a high enough reverse voltage is applied to a junction. This results in a large current flowing through the junction, which is then regulated to a smaller value.The 1N3308A diode can be used in a variety of applications such as protection from high voltage transients, protection from overvoltage, and as a voltage regulator. Working Principle

The 1N3308A diode operates by the Zener breakdown principle.
