The 1N5995B-TP is a Zener diode from the single diodes category, designed for use as a part regulator in situations where the output voltage stays within a certain range. The basic idea behind Zener diodes is to use the breakdown voltage of silicon to form a circuit with a “stable” voltage on both sides. The diode has a low forward voltage drop, so the voltage on the N-type side is always slightly lower than the voltage on the P-type side. This creates a voltage drop across the diode, which helps regulate the voltage on the N-type side, keeping it within a certain range.
The 1N5995B-TP is a small, inexpensive, and reliable Zener diode that can be used in a wide range of applications. Its low forward voltage drop and stable breakdown voltage make it ideal for use as a voltage regulator, current protection, and short-circuit protection device.
