TVS – Diodes

Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diodes are widely used in system and equipment protection against voltage transients induced by lightning, overloads, or other transient voltage events. The 1N6149AUS is a Uni-Directional TVS that is designed to protect sensitive electrical and electronic equipment from damage or service interruption caused by transient overvoltage conditions. This unique circuit element can protect from damaging high-energy events and still not affect normal system operation.

The 1N6149AUS TVS diode is designed to protect equipment from voltage transients such as lightening strikes, Static Dis Charge (SDC) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Typical applications include AC adapters, communication lines, and automotive power lines. The device features 1500W peak pulse power capability at a 5/1000 waveform, and can be used for line-to-ground protection across a wide range of voltages.
