Working Principle of 1PMT4099C/TR7
The 1PMT4099C/TR7 is a Zener diode, which operates in reverse breakdown and works on the principle of allowing voltage to flow in the reverse direction once the threshold value or breakdown voltage is reached. In the forward operating direction, the device behaves like a simple diode, allowing current to flow in one direction only. In the reverse breakdown region, however, the voltage across the diode increases with an increase in the current, up to the breakdown voltage. Once breakdown is reached, the Zener diode enters a region of constant voltage and maintains the voltage at the threshold value, regardless of any further increases in the current, thereby regulating the voltage.
