Diodes are widely used components of electronics which have the property of controlling the direction of current through them. They are mostly used to rectify alternating current to direct current, or to protect circuits. Zener diodes are a specific type of diode which has a reverse breakdown voltage, when this voltage is reached it allows current to go through it in the reverse direction. The 1PMT4117C/TR13 is a Zener diode with a reverse breakdown voltage of 18V, which is a medium voltage.The 1PMT4117C/TR13 is a single Zener diode and has a wide range of uses, one being it can be used as a voltage reference.
